In 1999, we left Vernal, Utah heading for Nationals in Columbia Missouri with the hopes of bringing back a Miniature Shetland filly. What we found that year changed our farm's focus. It was a little bay weanling stallion that stole our hearts. This stallions name was D&S Golden Eagle.

In 2000 we purchased D&S Brandywine, a weanling filly. Like Eagle, she personified the gentle nature, the grace and beauty of the Seth Thomas horses. A few years later D&S Rose of Sharon came to live with us as well. Then two years ago we added our fourth Seth Thomas horse, D&S Chickadee.

In 2006 we sent Eagle to Larry and Murl of Parnell Training Stables to promote Eagle for the show season. Larry and Eagle went Grand Champion under more than 20 judges as a miniature, Hall of Famed as a Shetland, won Congress as the Aged stallion, Senior Stallion and Reserve Grand Champion Stallion. Then, a little over a month later won his age class, Reserved the Senior division and won Reserve Grand at the Miniature Horse Nationals in Tulsa Oklahoma.

Style, presence and beauty--that is what makes a Seth Thomas horse, and Dale and Shirley personify it in their breeding stock.
