Bair Trail Farms

Bair Trail Farms is a small 30 acre farm located in the heart of beautiful Suwannee County, Florida, just a five minute drive to the historical Suwannee River, which the famous song: "Way Down Upon the Suwannee River" was composed about.

Our first introduction to the Seth Thomas Collection was several years ago at a local show, then in September 2003, my dear friend, Al Foe decided to liquidate his herd. A friend called and invited me to visit his farm with her. As we were walking through the barn I spotted this beautiful little mare which was in foal and immidately fell in love with her. I will take her, not knowing her pedigree. Al was a little hesitant because he had not yet decided to sell her. He finally relented, and agreed to sell her, but only if I would take the matching stallion. What to do???? OK!!!!!! The agreement was made. Al began to educate me on what I had purchased. I was so excited about my beautiful mare, I didn't ask to look at the stallion for a while. Al continued to talk about the STC. (Pictured at right is D&S Meadowlark. ASPC #147362A.)

Slowly, it began to register with me exactly what Al was talking about because I had been reading about the STC in the Journal magazine. By this time Al was bringing out a gorgeous Liver colored stallion and I was in love again. Now Al said, "I have another STC mare in foal !!! What else could I do? He had very gently guided me into the world of the Seth Thomas Collection of miniature horses.

My small herd of STC now consists of 2 beautiful mares in foal and a stallion for each of them. We have tried to be very selective in our herd and purchase the very best. Listed are a few of the bloodlines that we have: Sligo Strike the Gold, Boones Little Buckeroo, Bond, Happy Appy, Stouts, etc. and now the STC has been added to our herd. We are so happy to be a part of the Wave of the Future. Thank you Al!

MEADOWLARK is 35" tall and has a wonderful personality -- a dream for a Shetland. It sounds just like his ancestor, Seth Thomas. He is a Liver Chestnut, with a Black maine and tail. He loves to trot, give kisses, and make babies. He has two foals coming this spring. I just can't wait. He is my baby cakes.
